Racebuykz.com recently announced that we had agreed to sponsor GBmoto Endurance for a second term in 2019 and we’re hugely excited about today’s announcement from the team.

“The Team are proud to announce the final rider to complete our 3-Man Endurance Team for 2019 – welcome Mr. Elliott Lodge!

Having deputised for the team at Donington Park earlier this year (where GBmoto Endurance grabbed its first podium finish), Elliott is switching his focus from Moto3 in the British Championships – to trying to win the new Twins Endurance Championship at No-Limits Racing next year.

Having agreed terms, we asked Elliott to air some thoughts:

How have the last few years in Moto3 in British Championships been? – “I have learned so much and I certainly had my fair share of highs and lows, with podiums, breakdowns and everything in between. I faced a lot of challenges head on, but I am ready to try something new”

How would you describe your riding style and approach to racing? – “I consider myself a smooth, consistent rider that adapts well, to anything I ride. I train 3 times a week in the gym and do a lot of cardio at the weekend to ensure that I am fit and strong for my racing”

Why was the ride with GBmoto Endurance of interest? – “I had the opportunity to ride for GBmoto at Donington Park earlier this year, where I thoroughly enjoyed myself, whilst learning to race a new bike. The team was so welcoming, and we went on to pick up a podium finish that day. After deciding it was time to move on from the British Championships, I started talking to the team, with a real interest in joining them for next year”

What challenges does something like a 10-Hour Endurance race conjure up for you? “The main challenges will be to keep focused and to ensure my times stay consistent, for such long period on track. After only being used to doing 20-minute sessions in Moto3, races like that will be a big test and a new challenge”

What goals do you have now you are signed for the team for 2019? “My personal goal is to win the Twins Endurance Championship with the team, working with the other two riders to deliver what the Team will be chasing. I believe we are in a strong place to do that and I can’t wait to get testing, after the bikes are developed and prepped over the winter”

So that gets our rider line-up sorted – look out for more announcements in the coming weeks, regarding testing, bike development and news regarding our sporting tie-ups…
